Consideration of Process

To me both symbols are the same.
But in Chinese, the character is not just how it looks. How it is drawn, order/direction of each stroke is as important as the final outcome. Stroke order optimizes on the principles of efficiency, legibility, and makes characters more memorable.
Born left handed I often found, I needed to follow different processes in a right hand world to achieve a similar result. (using scissors, spiral bound notebooks, school desks, calligraphy/cursive). Generally, in english, as long as your writing is legible, how it’s written matters little. I never considered the stroke order of the latin letters I wrote. (side note, the formality of stroke order in Chinese, is why even back in the early 2000’s computer handwriting recognition was better in Chinese than English)
I am certainly not a type a person, but I find myself outcome driven; focused on the end result, delivered product, OKR/KPI’s, the tangible outcome. Process be damned! Often with a rebellious twinkle in my eye.
A continued focus on outcome, can diminish the importance of honoring the process that achieved that outcome. At an extreme ‘ends justifies the means’; less extreme is a reminder that the journey is as important as the destination.
