New Years Resolutions for the younger me

As I reflect on my New Years resolutions, there are things I wish were on my younger me’s list, if so would have resulted in a more (accelerated) fulfilling life.

20 yr old me's goals were surviving, and building a future safety net. Education prepared me for work and less for life. These are just a few, I hope others add as well.

Money: Understand how it works, and is tied to emotion (and how to untie) Money is a tool. Make your banker your partner. Learn about real assets, and how to make choices based on want vs need.

Cooking: A pleasure that feeds the soul and body. Learning how to cook is cheaper, healthier, and fulfilling; a key to taking care of yourself, and others. Eating mindfully puts us in touch with our senses. I was in my 30's before starting to learn how to cook.

A**h*les: There is no time to waist on people who are not Generous, Kind and have a moral ethos. Their morals don't have to match yours. You can't convert an A**h*le, you will just anger them and frustrate yourself. Prune them from your life.

Faith, and Fear: Faith, I am not talking religion, I am talking about having trust that things will work out. Good decisions are based in data - great decisions use data, trust in the future, and fearlessness.

Create a personal board of directors, People you can look to for advice, mentorship, personal problem solving. Be accountable to them. Have people who compliment you and who can tell you the straight dope when necessary. They should challenge you, and want you to be your best.

It was really hard getting this post down to under 1300 chars,
I hope others add more thoughts and comments of what they should have taught their younger selves
