Potential vs Kinetic Innovation
The problem with innovation?
You often don't see direct results.
Remembering back to our physics classes,
Potential energy is like this rock.
There is energy stored there.
But you have to figure out
how to get it out.
Most corporate innovation is potential.
There is energy there
but how do you
tap into it?
How do you give that rock
a push?
On the other hand,
Kinetic Innovation is
innovative thought/processes/tools
that can be used immediately
to drive results.
One possible way to achieve kinetic innovation
is through transference,
where you take
established and proven leading edge
thought/processes/tools/technology
from one business domain to another
where they don't exist but will add value.
"bring fire to other tribes"
What are some of your ways you are creating
kinetic innovation in your businesses?
