Running from and too

So you are leaving your job…
Don’t focus on what
You are running from

Focus on what
You are running towards.

When considering, I like to think about a company's Vector, Velocity and Culture:
Vector- direction (path to success)
Velocity - speed (ability to succeed)
Culture - ethos (their values and how they realize em)

  • Are they going in the direction you want to go?
  • What are their causes?
  • Does the culture align with your values?
  • Who are the people you get to work with?
  • What are the problems you are going to solve?
  • What are you going to learn?
  • Do they work in a way that you admire?
  • How will you be able to teach and mentor?
  • Do their customers/vendor-partners love them? ( http://bit.ly/2HYu1NO )
  • If you are an innovator: is their corporate gravitational pull to strong ( http://bit.ly/2UyySZc )
  • Are they out of sequence ( http://bit.ly/2mDguzL )
  • Is there a path for their and your success (is success possible)

Michael Qualley also taught me 4 simple questions to always ask: (http://bit.ly/2JL93Qf)

  1. What do I need to do to be successful?
  2. Do I have a future?
  3. What is my relationship with my Direct Management?
  4. Is this a fair and equitable place?
