When the universe tells you something
When the universe tells you something
listen.
I wasn’t planning on sharing any new years ‘wisdom’.
Seriously.
But.. Searching,
surfing really,
around an unrelated topic
this article/site showed up.
I didn’t know the site or author (Maria Popova)
But as I read I realized I needed to hear and reflect upon every point she shared
Both to wrap up the year & decade
&
as an aspiration for the new one.
I share Maria’s article along with a wish for happiness, health, love & prosperity for you and yours in the coming new year (and decade)
- Allow yourself the uncomfortable luxury of changing your mind.
- Do nothing for prestige or status or money or approval alone.
- Be generous.
- Build pockets of stillness into your life
- When people tell you who they are, believe them. When people try to tell you who you are, don’t believe them.
- Presence is far more intricate and rewarding an art than productivity.
- Expect anything worthwhile to take a long time.
- Seek out what magnifies your spirit.
- Don’t be afraid to be an idealist.
- Don’t just resist cynicism — fight it actively.
- Question your maps and models of the universe and continually test them against the raw input of reality.
- Forgive, forgive, forgive. And then forgive again.
